And this is due to the pleasant atmosphere that keeps the taste of old Andalusian taverns, with high tables and a very familiar, friendly and professional service. Also, if you are wine lover you are advised on the different local varieties, which are spectacular.
You can enjoy a great variety of tapas at a reasonable price, which belong to the traditional cuisine, but have the author’s seal. Creative and especially tasty tapas, such as piquillo peppers stuffed with a creamy cod or some croquettes, which are delicious.

Young spirit at la Cervecería Los Gatos

In the centre of Malaga you will find the tavern Los Gatos, another typical Spanish bar that deserves to be on our list. In this busy place you can enjoy very typical tapas of seafood and of different types of meat: serrano ham, pork chops, croquettes with mushrooms and ham, bull’s tail, assorted toasts … are some of the tapas with which you can delight yourself.

A place that is famous for the good tapas with no presumptions and well-drawn beers.

Going for some tapas and shopping at the markets of Malaga.

Finally, we recommend you to visit the markets of Malaga that are each time more famous. After the last remodelling and refurbishment of the traditional markets, gastronomic spaces are taking centre stage, places where, in addition to buying gourmet products, you can take a beer with some tapas, as in mercado de Atarazanas, where you will find stands with Iberian sausages, cheeses, fish and seasonal vegetables.
