This festive season gives us a wonderful opportunity to pause, reflect, and look back at everything we have achieved together this year. At Welex, we celebrate not only the holidays but also the successes, the lessons learned, and above all, the privilege of being part of our clients’ stories throughout 2024.

A year filled with challenges and shared successes

In our legal department, we had the honor of advising clients and managing property transactions across Spain, from newly built homes to second-hand property transfers. Additionally, we collaborated closely on mortgage processes and the drafting of wills. Each of these milestones represents more than just numbers: they are stories, dreams, and life projects that we are proud to have helped bring to life.

In our accounting department, we provided advice to numerous limited liability companies, devoted ourselves to filing Non-Resident Income Tax returns, and assisted clients with taxes related to rental properties in Spain. We also worked on other taxes, such as Wealth Tax and the Tax on Large Fortunes. These achievements highlight our commitment to being a reliable and solid foundation for our clients.

Moreover, as always, we remain dedicated to staying informed about all regulatory changes affecting our clients, such as updates to tax laws for non-residents renting out properties or new provisions regarding tourist licenses.

We take pride in the advice we offer our clients, which in some cases prevents risks in their real estate investments in Spain. This work requires precision, experience, and a deep understanding of Spanish regulations. This year, we have focused significant efforts on complex issues such as urban planning violations, ensuring that the properties we manage meet all necessary legal requirements.

Our work doesn’t stop there. We ensure that all construction projects have the proper permits and address discrepancies between the property measurements recorded in the cadastre and those in the property register. While these tasks are independent, they share a common goal: protecting our clients’ interests and ensuring their investments in Spain are safe, transparent, and sound. Our commitment goes beyond the immediate; we aim to build relationships based on trust and the peace of mind that only a dedicated law and accounting firm like ours can offer.
