Another one of the most relevant taxes in the Spanish tax system is the Income tax for individuals. In Spanish, the so known Impuesto sobre la Renta de las Personas Físicas (I.R.P.F.) that levies the income of individuals in accordance with their family and personal circumstances. This Spanish tax is one of the main financial sources of Autonomous Communities.

 

 

IRPF 2016. Income Tax Scale in Spain.

Statistics IRPF for the year 2016 that is filed in the year 2017.

 

There are still no statistics published for the year 2016, but in general it is estimated to expect:

 

  • Number of tax returns in Spain: 20 millions.
  • More than ¾ are tax returns on Income from Work in Spain.
  • The average sum paid on account of the Income Tax for Natural Personas is approximately 3.750 Euros.

 

Deadlines on which the Income tax in Spain is filed for the year 2016.

 

The 30th of June 2017 is the last date to file the Spanish Income tax return IRPF 2016. In case of making the payment through direct debit the deadline is until 20.06.2017.
